Philip Mark Plotch, Ph.D., director of the master’s program in public administration at èßäÉçÇø Peter’s University, recently appeared as a guest on One-on-One with Steve Adubato to give an inside look at the politics behind fixing our nation’s infrastructure.
Dr. Plotch is the author of the book, Politics Across the Hudson: The Tappan Zee Megaproject and is currently working on a book on the Second Avenue subway. He previously served as the director of World Trade Center redevelopment and special projects at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC), where he helped to lead the nation’s efforts to rebuild Lower Manhattan. Prior to serving LMDC, Dr. Plotch played a lead role in planning improvements to the New York metropolitan area’s transportation system. As the manager of planning and policy at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), he developed strategic business plans, led planning and communications efforts for the subway system’s expansion, and developed a region-wide plan to integrate new technologies.
