猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 University Recognized as one of the Most Environmentally Responsible Colleges by The Princeton Review

Jersey City, N.J. 鈥 October 24, 2017 – 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 University today announced that it was included in The Princeton Review鈥檚 鈥.鈥 A presence on this list means 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 is one of the 375 most environmentally responsible colleges in the United States and Canada, according to The Princeton Review, an education services company known for its test prep programs and college rankings, ratings and guidebook profiles.

The Princeton Review’s 鈥淕uide to 375 Green Colleges, 2017 Edition鈥 profiles colleges with the most exceptional commitments to sustainability based on their academic offerings and career preparation for students, campus policies, initiatives and activities. The Princeton Review chose the colleges based on “Green Rating” scores (from 60 to 99) that the company tallied in summer 2017 for 629 colleges using data from its 2016-17 survey of school administrators. Schools with Green Rating scores of 80 or higher made it into the guide.

In the guide鈥檚 profile on 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 University, The Princeton Review highlights the University鈥檚 Sustainability Council and the academic programs with an environmental focus such as the major in environmental science, and the major in biology with a concentration in environmental science. Sustainability-oriented student groups such as SAVE: Students Against Violating the Earth and Junk Yard Dogs were also featured in the profile. The University was acknowledged for its LEED Silver-certified Mac Mahon Student Center and the implementation of 100 percent renewable energy generated by wind power as the sole source of purchased electricity. In addition, this year 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 was named as a Finalist for the 2017 Climate Leadership Awards for innovative and advanced leadership in sustainability, climate mitigation and resilience.
