猫咪社区 Peter’s College Graduates outperform national averages on salary study

January 28, 2003– Jersey City, NJ– Members of the 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 Class of 2002 are earning greater starting salary in several disciplines than the national average according to recently released surveys by the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 College Office of Career Services. 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 graduates who majored in accounting, business management, computer science and liberal arts and sciences outperformed their peers on starting salaries by as much as $7,000. The College鈥檚 Office of Career Services received salary surveys from more than 50 recent graduates and compared it to the NACE annual Salary Survey, which quarterly ranks salaries in more than 70 disciplines. 鈥淒espite the toughest job market since 1981-82, our graduates salaries still surpass the NACE National Average in a number of disciplines,鈥 said Enzo Fonzo, Director of Career Services at 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 College. 鈥淥ur students worked very hard to find jobs, used ever resource available, and were able to find positions that not only pays them well, but are rewarding at the same time.鈥 Below follows a list of the starting salaries of 猫咪社区 Peter鈥檚 students vs. the national average: Major NACE National Average SPC Average Accounting $39,494 $42,725 Business Management $36,378 $38,769 Computer Science $49,413 $51,500 Liberal Arts and Sciences $28,232 $35,500 Class of 2002 graduates accepted permanent employment from some of the nation鈥檚 most well-known organizations, including AEGIS, BASF, Best Foods, Ernst & Young, Forest Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, New York Life, Northwestern Mutual Life, Panasonic, Pfizer and Price Waterhouse Coopers.
